About Carys

I am an experienced, fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals and groups from my practice in the City of London and online via Zoom.

I work with adults seeking support for a wide range of reasons and from diverse walks of life. I trained as an integrative practitioner, simply meaning I have experience in integrating different theories and methods into our work. I don’t believe in a single way of doing things and this enables me to be flexible in my approach, tailoring our work together to support you and your individual needs. My practice is committed to holding a supportive space for all individuals, irrespective of gender identity, sexual orientation, racial background or religious beliefs.

I am committed to my own personal and professional development, regularly engaging in further learning, reflective practices and connecting with people and activities that enrich my life and my work.

Alongside my private practice I work as a therapist at two specialist services, one supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and the second working with maternal mental health and infertility.

Qualifications and Experience

I hold a Masters degree in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich, an Intensive Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University and a Certificate in Group Facilitation. I hold training in somatic therapy work including Body-Mind Centering and can integrate these practices into our work together.

I am a member of the following:

  • The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP Code of Ethics

  • British Infertility Counselling Association

  • The Relational School

I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity cover.

My Background

Previously to becoming a therapist I worked in the creative arts and continue to dedicate part of my practice to this sector. I run an organisation that advocates and provides support for artists impacted by malpractice and hold therapy groups for individuals working in body-based careers.

If this part of my practice resonates with you, please get in touch and we can chat through avenues of support.
